ALEC Getting into the CPS "Reform" Business.

in #informationwar5 years ago (edited)

"ALEC"...or the "American Legislative Exchange Council" is, purportedly, a "conservative" organization that typically involves itself in crafting and promoting "model legislation" that they design. Usually, they confine themselves to pro-life or financial/budgetary concerns, but when they delve beyond those themes the results are mixed, and they tend to be far more neoconservative than conservative.

America's largest parental rights group could be ParentalRights.org. They have never really come out for the only thing that will probably really work, when it comes to "child protective" "services" (CPS)-- abolishing it. And, there COULD BE "the rub."

The deep state makes a constant practice of instigating their own controlled opposition, and infiltrating good organizations with their people (and money) and "turning them" to their own purposes. I am not saying this has happened with PR.org, but it is something to be aware of, and upon which to keep a close eye.

ALEC coming on board with PR.org could turn out to be anywhere on the spectrum from wonderful to horrible for real reform, and for parents and children. We'll see.

Here is an article announcing ALEC's new involvement in "reforming" CPS:

https://parentalrights.org/alec-conference/

Here is an excerpt:

"ALEC hasn’t taken up parental rights or child welfare reform before because it isn’t seen as a conservative issue. And we have said it before ourselves: parental rights is not a conservative issue, nor a liberal one.

The truth is, it is an 'everyone issue,' which ALEC is now beginning to see includes conservatives like them. (If we can score an invitation to a similar exchange for liberal lawmakers, we will be happy to share parental rights with them as well!)

The down side is that ALEC is an annual conference. While we hope to make a presentation of our issue for their executive meeting later this fall, neither the subcommittee nor any legislative proposals we could make will be in place before next August.

But in the grand scheme of things, that’s a small delay for a major avenue to promote our cause. Thanks to the work of colleagues like Maggie and the new allies she is meeting, meaningful change is on its way."

Notorious insiders and neocon billionaires like The Koch Brothers already have their fingers in the ALEC pie, so it is important to keep a watchful eye on what happens with this new movement to get ALEC on board with the parental rights movement.

I am very tempted to assert that any reform that doesn't abolish CPS will actually further empower the organization. That is because the STRUCTURE of CPS is designed to let legislation and "rules" roll off its back and to ignore the people and their representatives. They do this with the full support of their perverted court systems. However, I won't go that far, right now, because ALEC's involvement may raise the level of public awareness of the problem enough to bring real pressure to bear for real reforms with teeth, and/or even for abolishment.

Keep an eye on any legislation that emerges next year that includes ALEC's imprimatur. If they put forward legislation that only serves to advance the fable that "real change" is happening--while business as usual at CPS is empowered--you can be sure this blogger will scream bloody murder (because that's what it will, inevitably, engender.)
