DOUBLE LEGAL WHAMMY THIS MORNING...Ecuador loses major case v. Chevron (one of the Rockefeller "Seven Sisters.")

in #informationwar6 years ago

In my blog entry posted just before this one, I discussed the SAD Monsanto court victory, on appeal, in San Fransisco against a guy who got cancer from glyphosate and a nice JURY-GRANTED, legal-recourse, financial judgment. Now, on the same coast, far to the south, another court-- that had ruled that Chevron's absolute rape of Ecuadorian assets, environment, and villager's health, was not just hunky dory and that it deserved serious legal repercussions-- was just over-ruled IN HOLLAND!

Here is that article:

For those lacking historical context, Chevron is one of the "Seven Sisters" oil companies that emerged out of the post-1911 breakup of The Standard Oil Company. Seven new companies were formed, linked by front organizations and interlocking boards of directorate, STILL, to the Rockefeller family as before...(i.e. "business as usual" and a farce.) Chevron was the branch of the Rockefeller oil monopoly that made some of the most aggressive pushes into South America, often resulting in some of the most horrific (and easily preventable) environmental degradations in the history of the oil business, as well as some of the most unfavorable and rapine "concessions" paid to the poor Ecuadorian government.

(The International Criminal Court, The Hague, Netherlands.)

I have an associate and acquaintance (through my radio show) with John Perkins, best-selling author of "Economic Hitman" and other books where he highlights what went on down there in Ecuador, specifically with the environmental catastrophe unleashed by "big oil," but also the economic depravities of the IMF and World Bank as practiced against the government (and the people) of Ecuador.

Here is a key excerpt from the first link provided above:

"By 2012, Ecuador’s courts deemed Chevron guilty of environmental damage, ordering it to pay $9.5Bn in damages and fines, a verdict Chevron refused to comply with and furiously battled, accusing prosecutors of bribery and coercion to achieve their win. The oil firm, with the help of numerous lawyers and law firms was successful, effectively countering their legal opponents and later seeking further arbitration with the International Arbitration Court which then annulled the 2012 ruling. Pablo Fajardo, the Ecuadorian whistle-blower and lawyer who has tirelessly fought for the rights of his indigenous countrymen, questions the jurisdiction of the Hague court, asking how an international body, formed by business lawyers can impose such ruling, going above Ecuador’s sovereign and constitutional right to protect its own people."

Well...well...Welcome to The New World Order, Mr. Fajardo. This is why ALL sovereign nations MUST reject the United Nations, the ICC, The IMF/World Bank, and the "International Arbitration Court." All sovereign nations are totally "at risk" while they condone these illegitimate governing bodies by their membership in them.

"Justice" of the type doled out by the Ninth Circuit and this international tribunal in The Hague needs to be shoved HARD onto the junk heap of history if the people of the world are ever to be set free from corporatic tyranny of the type constantly employed by out-of-control international corporations like Bayer/Monsanto and like Cheveron Oil and her six sisters. There is no other solution but to REVISE CORPORATE LAW so that it becomes far more "people friendly."
