The Blame Game

Someone one once said, you never want a serious crisis to go to waste, oh yeah it was Barack Obama's White House Chief of Staff. My point is that politicizing or exploiting a tragedy is very common practice by politicians and even more so by the media, under the guise of bringing us the news. At the end of the day media companies are not non-profit organizations, they are massive corporations looking at making money and the translates into viewership. Politicians are no different, they are all about power and they achieve this by getting votes.

What I take huge issue with is exploiting a crisis to push a political ideology that hopefully gains some extra votes for their campaign, no matter who is doing it. Which happens like clock work each and every time there is a mass shooting or anything similar. This weekend there was two mass shooting that happened back to back, first in El Paso then in Dayton, both shooters were extremists and are reported to be on opposite ends of the political spectrum. Which is not completely correct, as the shooter who is being categorized as a right wing extremist, was completely ideologically on the left, apart from not supporting mass immigration and based solely on this, is now painted as being on the right. I have written too many posts debunking the incorrect use of left and right political spectrum, to fall for this propaganda in an attempt to assign blame. Because that is exactly where this goes, of course it does, and who is going to be blamed as per usual? That's exactly what happens literally within minutes of the story breaking, oh and don't forget to include the hot button gun issue, remember elections are just around the corner.

"The American fascists are most easily recognized by their deliberate perversion of truth and fact. Their newspapers and propaganda carefully cultivate every fissure of disunity, every crack in the common front against fascism."- Henry A. Wallace

How this works is, you accuse the orange man of being racist of everything he says, even though there is absolutely no evidence to support the accusation. It's the old Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Reich Minister of Propaganda tactic, where you tell a big lie and just keep repeating it.

"Never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it." - Joseph Goebbels

Much like the Russian collusion conspiracy that has been going of for close to three years no with zero evidence or convictions. So somehow Trump is now to blame for the one shooter because he is apparently a white supremacists, and because Trump is against illegal immigration that is somehow a default white supremacist position. If you have been following the media narrative for the last few months, the far right extremism has become a top talking point. The question we should ask is what is the criteria for placing someone in the white supremacist category? If it's because someone supports legal immigration which most people do, then there's going to be a massive amount of white supremacists and many of them aren't even going to be white.

The El Paso shooter posted a manifesto about 20 minutes before the incident titling it "The Inconvenient Truth" similar to the climate change documentary by Al Gore, but also blamed immigrants for hastening the environmental destruction of the United States and proposed genocide as a pathway to ecological sustainability.

What I am try to illustrate here is how media is framing this crisis and by doing so are allocating blame towards a political side, in this case the right, the republicans and Trump. The truth is that all forms of collectivism falls on the left, including fascism are all on the the left. The right are anarchists, people completely against any form of government, but it's a lie that has been told for the longest time ever.

"The leftist media does not understand that when you smear people - when you call them Nazis, when you call them Nazi-defenders, when you call them white supremacists - you are giving permission to the people that are closest to Nazis in America - these brown shirts, these Antifa gangs and thugs - to come out and attack people." - Candace Owens
