In Norway on 17 May, the entire country stops. Even if we are a politically correct country as well, we have not yet gone full retard. We are not ashamed of our values yet. We are not afraid that immigrants will find our flag provocative. We still have SOME pride. But, that being said - I don't feel much on this date anymore. The speeches has changed from celebrating Norway and our core values, to nonsense about gender, equality and immigration. The virus is spreading here too. But It just shows how far down the rabbit hole Sweden has gone.
While Norwegians dress up in traditional clothing and wave their flag and all the newspapers and tv shows are about 17 May - swedes doesnt even bother to write a little note about their national day.
What are you talking about ? We are really proud and show our countries colors today ! Just look at my bracelet (which I hide under my shirt sleeve when I'm outside) hehe .
Jokes aside it is very sad. For the last day of school we used to go to the church to listen to some speeches and sing some songs. This has been banned already because some immigrants don't allow their kids to go to a Christian church ... Soon we won't have any Swedish traditions left.
Hehe. Well, it's funny but also scary. Sweden has really started to fall apart. I even know some typical feminists / SJW's who think this has gone too far now. But I suspect it's difficult to change the tide. With so many immigrants, they have begun working in government and public sectors, and often they prioritize their own. Of course. Who can blame them.
And integration won't work. Who would want to integrate into a disintegrating west? A society that is falling apart, that has no values, no moral code, believes in nothing and has no pride. Who in their right mind would want to integrate into that?
It's really sad to be sure - people have gotten so comfortable that they have forgotten the things that are truly important
Someday people might say our "whole country is provocative... so lets not be a country anymore..."

I am not Swedish and do not live in sweden... I live in bangladesh... its an asian countey... we are facing similar issues.. not that much extreme but noticibe enough to protest against it....
I know where Bangladesh is :D There are quite alot of bangladeshian workers in Norway. I don't mind them..they seem to be hard working people on most part.
What is the issue you are facing there?
Its an issue about discrimination in government and other jobs..... some people because of their priviledge and political status in the country always gets the upper hand when applying for those jobs..and because of that many people are jobless who are more qualified.... the situation is so severe it its like an epidemic..
We held protests against this for over two months now...
Same thing is happening to some extent here in Australia.
Wearing the flag is seen as being nationalist and being nationalist is often seen as being racist.
The tentacles has reached the entire West. But it can't be stopped. All we can do is watch it unfold. There is no real opposition or resistance. There is not much you can do, beceause you dont want to sacrifice your job, social status or perhaps your children. The reprocussions are too big.

What is happening to Sweden and how they seem not to care about their country's culture is very depressing.
I guess most swedes don't realize how good they have it by being able to enjoy living in a country like that. Maybe they have to destroy it to finally realize the value of what they have.
