Smart "stuff" - cashless society - central banks - enough already!

Why do I not want a cashless society?

From the off let me say that I wrote before, that I would prefer a localized bank system - owned and controlled by local people, not banksters, not central banks.

So I was reading this article today, with a central banker quoted heavily in it, with regards to going cashless and governments taking full control of the digital money, whilst the evil central banksters still want to play at the party.

Simone Rensch looks at whether state-backed digital currencies are the future and cash a thing of the past.

“Money itself is changing,” IMF chief Christine Lagarde said in a speech in November last year. Addresing the Singapore Fintech Festival, she asked: “In ten, twenty, thirty years, who will still be exchanging pieces of paper?”
Electronic payments are becoming the norm. Signs now say ‘card only’ in many shop windows and we can pay for low-value goods with a simple tap of our card or even our phones thanks to a range of mobile apps.

Please take time to read the whole article here, before reading the rest of my article, if you would.

I know the younger generation are keen to pay with "smart" phones, though "smart" anything is not sitting well with me anymore. Take the devil googles Alexa, and it sending (why did it have them in the first place) 1,700 recordings of someones conversation in their own home, and sending them to a complete stranger 1 Here. 2 Here

Then add in smart TV's admitting to sending recordings of private conversations from peoples living rooms, to "3rd parties" who they will not allow you to know who they are here. And you start to get the picture.

From the original article it states as below.

Such digital currency issued by a central bank would be a liability of the state – as cash is – rather than commercial banks or private payment providers. She added that a state-controlled digital currency would have “clear advantages” and could fix the financial system in ways the private sector can’t.
“Central banks would retain a sure footing in payments,” she highlighted.

Why do I have a problem with central banks? Most if not all wars are financed by them, they profit even if they fund both sides, as interest is always due upon payment back to them. Add in all the corporations tied closely to central banksters like Raytheon, BAE Systems, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, all of which make billions from endless wars, and you get the picture.

With a cashless society people will not have cash to hand. If you look at China and the new system they are rolling out, where if you dare to criticize the government, your credit is turned off, you will see the potential a cashless society has with regards to keeping everyone inline, no matter how draconian any government becomes, dare to speak up and bam, you have zero credit, you lose your job, and they even put a recorded message on your phones ringtone, warning people that you are the enemy of the state here.

From said article below.

People who waste money on non-essentials or behave “badly” are penalized under the controversial new ranking.

The Chinese government is building an omnipotent "social credit" system that is meant to rate each citizen's trustworthiness. Source.

Other worrying words from said original article below.

As most digital currency transactions would be recorded on a single centralised ledger, the central bank or government would be able to see where money is flowing to, which could help tackle corruption, Gary Nuttall, a blockchain consultant, tells PF International. A digital ledger, where you can see money flows in real time, would be “a very fascinating thing for a government” because they could spot illegal transactions and financial activity, he says.

We already know from the "Panama papers" that officials and the ultra wealthy including government members, put their money in tax havens to avoid paying tax, whilst demanding everyone else does. Giving them control of the ledger so they can watch everyone else, does nothing to bring their actions to the forefront to curb "them" and their dodgy dealings. Take Trump and Clinton, what do they have in common? Well they share the same address. Why? It is a tax haven address Here - Trump and Clinton share Delaware tax 'loophole' address with 285,000 firms.

Getting rid of the "one rule for them & another for everyone else" is imperative, or the imbalance with regards to the 1% owning most of the worlds wealth will never be redressed. The Richest 1% Now Own More Than 50% of the World’s Wealth.

Before you consider running head first into a "smart home" take time to consider who is listening to you. Say you want to avoid paying a small amount of tax to your loved one, may get you a knock on the door or worse still if all other countries roll out the Chinese system. Think about the 1980's movie/film back to the future, where MR Mcfly gets sacked from his job after agreeing to be in on a deal via a video call, and you get the picture full well.

Stay smart, keep some cash, and refuse to be bugged at home, and always stash some gold, silver and valuables, you never know when you may need them.

@shepz1 drops the mic and hands it over to you "smart" ones out there below.

Edit, and you think it's not listening?

Alexa Just Interrupted A Tech Executive At CES And Said "That's Not True"

Sort:

I read the bank/digital article, did not read the articles about the China system, somewhat familiar with it already, smart TV, Alexa stories somewhat familiar with also. So the a few things I saw:

  • A digital currency would remove this dependency on the private sector and allow for something cheaper, “homegrown” and state-controlled, she says. -

When has anything the government taken away from the private sector become cheaper? School? Medicine? Mail Delivery?

MOST Stupid statement so far:

  • “Accountants are going to have to understand what ledgers are and how they work,” he says. -

If your accountant has no clue about ledgers you better fire his dumb-ass.

  • "The main concern is disruption to commercial banking, which would have “implications for the entire economy”, " -

Just more fear tactics, oh but the banks and the bankers if they crash our economy will crash - yeah right to big to fail-bullshit.

People are still far far to trusting of their Governments. They believe the knock on the door and the phrase "Hi, I'm from the government and am here t help"! To help myself to your child because you swore and used bad language in front of her here is the recording we got from your mobile phone, here is the visual evidence from your smart TV. Any Questions?

I am glad I am getting old and am not a 20 something year old.

The woman, not man, is the ex head of the none federal - federal reserve :-) Who now heads the IMF, sound familiar now.

I knew you would get the rest, it is so blatant and in your face fear porn.
Have a great week bro.

When has anything the government taken away from the private sector become cheaper? >School? Medicine? Mail Delivery?

MOST Stupid statement so far:

lol

Not if you take the UK as a "place" in the argument, as anything the gov does costs 10 times as much and takes 10 x longer than the private sector, hence the sell off of most of the NHS, the post office, the oil sector, British Telecoms, and any other asset they controlled, of course they were all sold to "their friends."

I can't believe they stopped the proposal to limit home delivery of mail to three days a week here, you can only bleed for so long, now there are the accusations that the US postal service ships for Amazon at a loss, everything onto the backs of the taxpayers for the benefit of the one percent.

The other day I just about wanted to choke on Apple's statement they had to cut their profit projections a half dozen billion or so...omg, how will the shareholder pheasants ever survive!

I read about them delivering at a loss for Amazon, you see it is favors for the old boys Yale network.

Yup them good old boys clubs keep tryin' there hardest to kick Trump's ass, have you seen this yet?

Not yet, I will watch it later, got to take my daughter to a physio class now.

I am glad I am getting old and am not a 20 something year old.

Me too! Ill be chuffed to do another 30years tops and then check out 😂

I will now.

Yes there is though a lot more than that going down, not saying anything yet, I will bide my time.

I always use cash when I shop locally etc. If we keep using cash it is harder for them to stop accepting it.

Yes the Indian thing is crazy, government's can just completely ruin people by changing laws.

Only if people dont learn the difference between lawful and legal, and believe that statutes and legalitys are the same as law, which they arnt! As usual confusing us with words until we under stand and then his story is written

Take a look at Sweden when you have time, they ruined a whole country including their pride, just like the UK. :-)

Yes they sure did stuff Sweden.

Big style bro.

I am thinking yet another 20 to 30 years out after the boomers have pretty much met their demise. You have a have a pretty firm generation of digital everything heads to convince people such a drastic change is good. Then again the younger generation is so much more easily mislead and places way to much trust in the system to protect them. Personally I can't see all the corrupt politicians and elitist with their hidden shell corporations wanting an "open or semi-open" ledger giving away their devious actions.

Agreed, and I am thinking about exiting here, I am not enjoying the google influence or the silencing of people on here, it is all getting a bit out of control.

What is a google influence?

Censorship, leftist gay agenda, people being flagged for not welcoming it, political correctness, mental illness, call it what you will, it is the google way.

No argument from me on the censorship. I have taken notice that one regularly active steemit account is taking quite the beating lately, supposedly that started off some gender remark...I've been becoming increasing more interested in what was behind it all and was going to go take a look later at their blog to what all went down. Of course I am staying out of the fray of it, I have enough on my hands just keeping me out of trouble...lol. You would be a loss here though, you write on varied subject matters, you infuse just the right amount of humor, you don't go on forever and a day about it, and the most notable thing is that you take the time to respond to just about everyone, it's rare you don't.

Would that be the patriot by any chance?

That sure would be.

It is not only him, there are many hims that are being targeted by the same person, for the same reasons.

Hi @shepz1

Why do I not want a cashless society?

Your reasons are probably to difficult for regular folks to grasp and understand.

It seem to be easier to explain to them, that on top of being controlled they will also spent more (that's proven fact) and it will be much harder for them to budget their expenses.

Which again will cause them to spent more resources and probably will make them fall into debt.

digital currencies are the future and cash a thing of the past.

That won't happen anytime soon. Majority of the world do not have an access to banking even in current days. It's going to take ages to bring mass adoption to lack of cash.

Say you want to avoid paying a small amount of tax to your loved one, may get you a knock on the door

Are you serious? OMG.

Yours, Piotr

Superb comment though sadly yes it is true, Alexa and smart tv's listen to "everything" you say and store it online, the TV's send it to unknown "3rd parties" which is most likely the NSA as they have the single largest facility in the world for storing people online data.

The younger generations certainly like their cards. I keep telling my 17 year old to have a bit of cash just in case, as sometimes things go wrong. If she loses her metro card she can only use cash on buses. The attitude is that if somewhere has a card marching machine breakdown then they'll just go somewhere else.

Australia is planning cashless by 2020. That's next year and issues with card readers losing contact with the bank are still common. If the power goes out all electronic transfers are out with it and blackouts are common in South Australia. It feels like Australia is becoming the testing ground for everything the US wants to implement. Carp herpes virus? Test it in Australia. Cashless? See what happens in Australia. Gun laws? Use Australia as the example.

When a crash happens (Argentina, Weimar etc) cash is king. In a cashless society, you're screwed. I don't honestly think they give a damn though. So the poor starve, that's less of a population they have to reduce. How do the homeless cope in a cashless society? Any business can't be shut down, just stop them being able to accept cards.

It feels like Australia is becoming the testing grind for everything the US wants to implement.

Not sure, I think Sweden was/is the test bed along with India. This is why I collect so many motorbikes and things, I collect anything I can in the future trade, when they crash the fiat system, I will have brand new lego sets to records to bikes, gold, silver so nothing that happens will directly affect me except for the ability to buy fuel/petrol/diesel.

We also grow most of out own food, everyone needs to start getting smart, grow food, make their own solar powered electricity, I do as I preach, not just talk. :-)
