Snap falls to new low after media analyst says company is 'quickly running out of money'
Snap's list of worries is growing longer: It's strapped for cash and will likely be forced to raise capital as early as mid-2019, according to one Wall Street research firm.
"While it is obvious that Snap wasn't prepared for life as a public company, it now has a more pressing problem. It is quickly running out of money," analyst Michael Nathanson of MoffettNathanson wrote Tuesday.
Nathanson cut his 2019 revenue estimates by 7 percent and his 2020 estimates by 15 percent, forecasting both slower user growth as well as slower revenue per user growth.
Mark this on your calendar boys and girls because I finally made my first post since the hard fork. I've been a little distracted with real life stuff but hoping to get back into posting on a more regular basis.
So snapchat is just another highly speculative stock that wallstreet guys buy because all the teenagers and college kids are using it now days. Why are they chasing this stock when these kids are usually broke or strapped for cash? It's because they are trying to get in early on these trends just like they did in retail with Gap and Old Navy a decade ago. Those stores were very popular with kids and the wallstreet guys bought up the stocks like crazy back then too but eventually those stores become old news and kids moved on to something else. The same thing is going to happen with snapchat, facebook, tweeter and the rest of these social media companies because their products are all about grabbing the attention of the youth and when the youth move on that's when these companies slowly die.
If people actually had more control over their money I don't think very many of these socials would be around but because wall street controls your money they get to decide what's good for you.

Never did get into Snapchat. Seemed pointless. Like everything else related to tech, it’s all about chasing the next best thing. That gets exhausting.
