Almost there. This is the penultimate drawing in my inktober effort.
The word is, "JOLT", and I have focused on the mental jolt of Mr. and Mrs. Shields when Betty returned home from a festival.
What Betty brought home from the Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Music

He looks like a member of "Group Therapy"
Haha, yes that's him!
Here's what he saw:
Greeeattt expressions! Very apt for what's going on with the scene :D.
Thanks :)
well done,those faces are priceless
Thanks mate!
... kind of "Crumb" moment.
Yes, I have actually had a couple of my "The Complete Crumb Comics" albums out yesterday :)
I like the Queen, God save 'er.
Oh, yes...
Yep, those are expressions of when people get a jolt of surprise, alright :D Nicely done, @katharsisdrill ! I hope they got over their shock XD
Yes, the poor creatures.
Very expressive, and I really like the fact that you made foreground characters only black silhouettes. Even though they're in front they let the focus of the picture stay on parents expressions

Thanks :) I am rather pleased with it myself.

Wow! They look very surprised and she even looks sad. I wonder how this guy look like. I see a long beard and cigarette in his mouth so this might be the reason why they're looking like this :)
Congratulations on completing the Inktober! :)
I think @roused know. Look at his comment.
That's not exactly a beard. It is the shrunken head of a witch, attached to this "guy"'s throat. You can perfectly make out her long nose and prominent chin. And the "festival of blues" has its roots in ancient masses, including sacrifices and naked dancing. Yes it does.
Well, for the larger audience I think we will go with the hippie explanation. The real things happening at the Bath festival is best kept away from the general public. It is important to notice though, that DONOVAN did a looong gig.
You see now... every Bath (especially en masse, during the Saturnday night) should have a Baptist. 'nuff said.
The ancient powers are beyond good taste.
Trippy piece. Our are children always our parents?
