The Garden Grasshopper 🐜

Today I'm gonna be the educated one and tell some interesting facts about the grasshopers here in israel.
Israel is blessed with more than 40 species of grasshoppers.
They can be found in a variety of habitats, such as stabilized sands, strawberries, groves and more in all regions: from the Alpine region of the Hermon through the Mediterranean region to all its diversity to arid desert areas. Few of them are permanently located in urban spaces; Courtyards rich in vegetation or ornamental gardens.
One of the few and the most beautiful and delicate ones is the Phaneroptera nana Fieber.

A medium-sized grasshopper, 12-18 mm long, often inhabited by herbaceous plants, but often seen in courtyards and even drawn to artificial light, it's a grasshopper that is not Known enough to be active in the twilight and night, he blends well with the green vegetation.

I love insect photos, and yours are always very nice to look at.
I took a course on insects at uni, a long time ago, but I don't remember much of it (except that it was really fun). Thanks for the refreshing info :-)
