Insult is the strongest manifestation of selfishness
We assume that the whole world and all people are against us and do nothing but think how to harm us. We are certain that when someone hurts us, he does it to harm us. The truth is that he is just trying to overcome the difficulties in his own life.
We love to be offended, not so much for our sake, but to turn to the other and to hurt it. But that puts us in a much more egocentric position. Relationships are between two people when they are secured by mutual understanding. Therefore, before we turn our backs, we must try to understand the motives for foreign action, otherwise, we act selfishly.
To offend means to see nothing but your own world and not to acknowledge the existence of the alien. We have to look a little higher and more objectively. The most negative emotion is only in our head and it is our personal interpretation of the situation that has nothing to do with reality.
Whether it's totally strangers or family, friends, loved ones, we can not expect others to be dedicated to us alone. If we think their actions always aim to offend us, then we are trying to take the role of a victim in the relationship to get more attention.
But this lack of attention is not filled with the foreign one, but only with ours. Insulted people often feel unappreciated, misunderstood, and disrespectful, but the problem is not with their relatives but in themselves!
When you start to take care of yourself, try to understand your own thoughts and feelings and love yourself, you will turn your selfishness into a healthy one for you and for others. You will no longer need to be angry because the insult - it's only our need to stay alone with ourselves and forgive.
We can not blame others for what we do not give ourselves to themselves, but to instill guilt in them, we hurt them much more than they do.
Everything that happens to us has begun with our choice. The easiest thing to do is to insult, but if we want to have a good relationship with the world, we have to choose to turn to it with love and understanding. And to make this happen, let's turn this way to ourselves.
