Insurance 保险

Insurance is almost a must for people living in the modern society. It is useful whenever a person coming across accident or severe sickness that requires to settle a sizeable bill, which is beyond the financial ability of that person if without insurance. At times, possessing and maintaining insurance policies can result complicated feeling to people.

Generally, people do not like to come across accident or to fall sick. They can consider themselves as fortunate for having insurance policies when they are sick or come across accident. During such difficult time, at least they can depend on the insurance company to pay for their bills though subject to the terms and conditions of the policies.

On the other hand, there are people who have insurance but have never needed to claim compensation because they have neither come across accident nor fallen sick. They are free from accident and are healthy despite they have never needed to claim anything from the insurance company. Sometimes, the people of this category would consider themselves as having spent money unnecessarily for the insurance. Nevertheless, they need to consider themselves as more fortunate than those who need to make claims from the insurance company. Without the need of claim, it implies that they are healthy and have been enjoying peace.

In fact, insurance does not help people to live an ideal life. But it is necessary for people living in a world, in which there are many situations beyond our control. And we do need some form of security and protection which are less than being perfect.

保险对于生活在现代社会中的人来说几乎是不可或缺的。一旦因为意外或严重疾病而需要支付额外的账单时，保单对于经济能力有限的人来说乃是一大助力。然而，持有保险对一些人会不时形成了复杂的感觉。

一般来说，人们都不喜欢发生意外或面对生病。然而他们还是可以庆幸在生病或遇到意外时拥有保单。至少他们可以透过保险公司根据保单条款支付账单。

另一方面，有些人有了保单，但是却从不需要索赔，因为他们既没有遇到意外亦未曾生病。有时候，这类人会认为自己其实可以不必花钱买保险。而事实上，他们应该意识到自己比那些需要向保险公司索赔的人更加幸运；这意味着他们享有平安，而且健康。

的确，保险并不能帮助人们过上理想的生活。但是，我们必竟对诸多的事情无法加以控制，因此我们需要某种形式的安全和保障，所以我们在不完美的世界需要有某种程度的保险。
