Untuk menghindari genangan air yang menghambat lalu lintas kendaraan,disamping jalan raya sangat pantas untuk dibuat saluran irigasi yang akan menampung air yang berada di badan jalan.

Selain itu,irigasi juga diperlukan untuk mengairi sawah warga agar mudah ditanami padi,,jika irigasi tidak tersedia tentu akan menyulitkan para petani untuk mengairi sawah mereka..
