Do we have to have a special call to attend the Great Commission?

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you every day, until the end of the world. Matthew 28: 19-20

I want to invite you to review together the verses in Matthew 28: 16-20, better known as the mandate of the Great Commission. Before the verses of Matthew 28: 19-20 we read in vv. 16-19 how Mary Magdalene and Mary learn the good news that Christ has risen, and they with joy and haste, obeyed to tell others. Even Jesus approached them and told them not to fear.

While they go to tell the disciples; the soldiers, the priests and the elders plotted to deceive the people. However, the disciples saw Him and worshiped, even some doubted. Jesus approached them, that is, he became more intimate [I want to imagine that it was to dispel the doubts] and he spoke to them about the authority that has been given to him and the mandate of Id. The expression "make disciples" was given to the disciples of Jesus.

According to the definition of the word disciple, in the dictionary of the RAE a "disciple is a person who follows the opinion of a school, even when he lives in times long after the teachers who established it". We have a mandate, but are we running to give the good news like women, what has happened in our lives and that the tomb is empty? During my Christian journey and especially at the beginning, I fell into the error of thinking that the eloquent, extroverted and studied sisters are the ones who must evangelize. But as the years passed and I grew in the understanding of the living God (His Word) I understood that every Christian woman has the duty to make visible the gospel of the invisible God, since Jesus Christ became visible and is the Author of our faith.
Personally, I consider that the missionaries do not have a "special" call from God.

The mandate is for all. We are in a generation where we are inclined to live more by feelings instead of living by faith. And we forget that the doubts of those who saw Him risen increase our faith! Yes! because by identifying ourselves in their doubts we receive the confirmation of Christ in his Word. At the end of the mandate, Christ tells them that he will be with them until the end of the world. We know that His Spirit is with us. That is, it teaches us, sanctifies, guides us, trains us, instructs us, is our strength, gives us courage, wisdom, discernment, in His Word we find Him close, and His grace finds us when we are walking towards the goal of our duty. "How can we revere His Person, if both His words and those of His apostles are treated without respect? Unless we receive the words of Christ we can not receive Christ; Unless we receive the words of His apostles, we can not receive Christ; because John says: "He who knows God hears us, he who does not belong to God does not hear us. That is why we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. "(1 John 4: 6) His Word says in 2 Corinthians 5:20 "Therefore, we are ambassadors of Christ, as if God were praying through us; In the name of Christ we pray: Be reconciled to God! "And in Ephesians 2:10" For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. "

The Westminster Confession of Faith states that there are at least six benefits of good works:

1. They express our gratitude to God for the gift of His Son (Col. 2: 6).

2. Reinforce the security of faith (1 Jn 2: 1-6).

3. They are a means to motivate other Christians to do greater acts of love centered on Christ (Heb 10:24).

4. They are concrete ways to embellish the doctrine of God our Savior in life and ministry (Titus 2: 7-10).

5. Silence critics who devalue the goodness of biblical Christianity (1 Pet 2:12, 15).

6. They glorify God by showing His work of love in our lives (Jn 15: 8-11). The task of "Go" is to take the Gospel everywhere, to all our circles, spheres, nations making disciples, always remembering that salvation is from the Lord, which is a personal matter.

That the works by which we are saved are by Christ's, not ours.
