Maintenance of the Battery, Deformation structure and Fuselage

Here, take the common Inspired 1 and Phantom 3 as examples to introduce the basics of maintenance.1, drone battery (take Inspired 1 battery as an example, other products are similar)Observe the battery case, whether it is damaged or deformed or bulged. If the battery is seriously damaged, stop using the battery, try to dispose of the battery, do not disassemble the battery, because improper disassembly may cause the battery to burn.
Check for broken metal pieces inside the battery power connector. If the surface of the metal sheet is burned more seriously, it is recommended to use fine sandpaper with a thickness of less than 1 mm to insert the inside of the connector and gently polish the metal surface.
Regularly check the condition of the battery communication socket in the aircraft battery compartment. Make sure that the communication jack is clean, the telescopic is smooth, and there is no bending to ensure normal connection with the battery.
Also, check the ablation of the positive and negative poles of the power supply. If the metal sheet is ablated, use fine sandpaper to gently ablate the ablated position.
Check the tightness of the plastic structural parts around the battery compartment. Such as cracks, screw stability, etc., to prevent the battery from loosening during flight.It is recommended to check the battery condition once a month to prevent battery damage:
(1).10 days without using the battery, please discharge the battery to 40%-65% power storage to extend the battery life. If you need to discharge a fully charged battery, you can use the DJI GO App to turn on the battery storage self-discharge mode (it takes about 2 days from full discharge to 65%, and the battery temperature may rise during discharge, which is normal). It is recommended to store the battery in a dedicated battery box.
(2). Do not store the battery for a long time after it has been completely discharged, to prevent the battery from entering the over-discharge state, causing the battery to be damaged and will not be used again.
(3). If the battery is seriously low and the idle time is too long, the battery will enter deep sleep mode. If you need to wake up the battery from a deep sleep, you need to charge the battery to initiate the wake-up procedure.Check the battery voltage. After starting the aircraft and opening the APP, in the [Smart Battery Information] column, check whether the voltage of each battery cell is similar. If the voltage is consistent every time the battery is fully charged. However, when the voltage of some cells is lower or higher than 0.25V above 3.7V, it is necessary to contact after-sales analysis. 


 2, check the deformation system (Inspired 1 special parts, other products similar)Check if the screw of the center frame of the aircraft is bent or scratched during the rotation. If it is bent or damaged, it may affect the normal operation of the aircraft and needs to be sent back for repair.
Also, check if the screw is rusted in time. If it is rusting, you can use a rust remover to do a screw cleaning to prevent the aircraft frame from being blocked during deformation.
Raise the landing gear of the aircraft and check the cleanliness of the screw and the lower bearing. If there is more soil, it needs to be cleaned and treated with a lubricant.
If the aircraft enters the transportation mode or exits the transportation mode, pay attention to whether the aircraft fuselage is vibrating or the abnormal sound of the center frame screw is abnormal.
When checking the deformation of the landing gear, place the aircraft on a horizontal surface, the ambient light is sufficient, and the water level texture is clear; if there is any abnormality in the aircraft deformation, please contact the after-sales service.3, check if the aircraft fuselage has been abnormalInspire 1 Series & Phantom3 series – Body Maintenance Check
Check whether the fuselage of the aircraft fuselage has loosened. On the fuselage structure, whether the aircraft arm is cracked or broken, if there is a crack, try to send it back for inspection and maintenance.
Check if the damping ball has aged (the outer layer of the damping ball is hardened or cracked). If the damping ball ages, it should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the aerial photography effect.
Check that the white damper of the outer arm stand is normal and the bottom of the damper is fixed. If the bottom of the damper shows signs of looseness, use a quick-drying adhesive to reinforce.
Check if the antenna position above the GPS and each landing gear are attached to an object that affects the signal.
