Airdrops-Are They Worth It? ( Chp 1 )

I have decided to share my adventures in chasing and doing Cryptocurrency Airdrops and Bounties.
Airdrops are a unique event in the world of Cryptocurrency , and it can be defined as the process of distributing FREE coins and tokens to us people, and they occur in the following ways:

1. The holders of a particular token or cryptocurrency that hardforks , evolves or launches a development of a new token on its mainnet.
2. The launch of a new token or cryptocurrency via an ICO (intial coin offering) or startup project whereby free tokens/coins are given away for promotional purposes.
   

I am going to focus on the second type of Airdrop, and discover through a series of articles, if they are worth it or not.
I have decided that while the market is bearish and not suitable for me to trade, I will be chasing Airdrops by doing the various task to get them and hope you will follow the ride with me .

MONTH MAY
I started doing Airdrops in May, unsure of what I was doing, but also excited because of the potential FREE COINS, I could get.
I started on Google and started following links, joining telegram and doing the simple tasks, like joining telegram groups,and just registering on certain sites.
My first successful Airdrop was Parachute, a great community project and I felt proud of my accomplishment.
The coins did not have much value, but you got to start somewhere.

Then, it happened ,my first foray in the dark underbelly of the Ctypto world. I received an Email to collect my coins from another Airdrop and went to the site and followed all the instructions.
I connected MEW (My Ether Wallet) and lo and behold the coins, all 1200 of them appeared in my wallet.
This Airdrop thing was great!

The following day, I logged in to MEW and staring blankly at my the screen, my wallet was empty ! My new Airdrop coins, my tokens from an ICO I bought in Dec 2017 and my Ethereum , all gone! $2000 dollars worth of Cryptocurrency and Tokens had been stolen.
I then realized I had logged in with my Private Keys and had been hacked.
Gutted and distraught, I stayed away from Crypto and my PC for a week.

Lesson learned, and now I was determined to make all the money back by chasing more Airdrops and decided to do this with a sense of profesionalism.
I created new and updated old social media accounts and started doing on average about 8-12 Airdrops a day.
