My This Is Me Introduction Post

Hello everyone, I am Peter and am new to Steemit. Three weeks ago, I had never heard of Steemit. I read a post elsewhere by @jerrybanfield who I knew of from Udemy, a few years ago. On checking out Steemit I found a more grown-up community than on Facebook with a real sense of community. I was so impressed my website peterclark.eu now just points to Steemit.com.

So, here I am. I have a few interests, cycling, swimming, photography, walking and music. A good many years ago I played bass guitar in my first band or group as they were called then. I was 14 years old. It’s hard to believe that a hundred years later I am still no better with the guitar. I also write the odd book, some none fiction, some quiz & puzzle books. I also did some zero content books to complement the music channel. (Zero content books are journals, calendars etc.)

My wife and I have a YouTube channel consisting of happy relaxing music. Fortunately, unlike me, my wife is a good musician and piano teacher, so we don’t have to rely on my playing. The channel is Honeycup Waters so that’s what I called my member name on Steemit. The music is not top 20 it is relaxing happy music, we call it listen to happiness music. Not to everyone's taste but no music is. I hope to share our music with you as well as posting on cycling and walking with pictures.

We live on a tiny island in the middle of Mediterranean Sea which we love, after moving from the UK some years ago. The walks and cycle rides are not long but what we lose in as the crow flies distances, we more than make up for in actual distances as we have more roads going up hills than flat roads. I like riding up hills. For several years I rode the London-Brighten cycle ride for charity. At the end of the ride is an extremely steep hill (The Beacon.) I loved riding up that hill, unfortunately, (or maybe not) in later years the police stopped us riding at breakneck speed down the other side into Brighton, we had to be sensible and go slow. Spoilsports!

I am looking forward to enjoying many posts on these interests and when I can work out how to do all the posting types, I will put up some music posts that you may or may not like. All comments will be welcome good or bad. Our music is all composed and played by us (OK by Jackie, I do the technical stuff.) It is not top 20 music it is happy relaxing music for everyday listening.

My working life has always been in engineering which has given me the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world, some of which are generally inaccessible. I suspect some of the places I visited have gone now due to wars since I was last there. I will post a few photographs when I can find them and a few funny stories. Unfortunately, most of my images have been lost over the years but I do have some left. This site was the center of the civilized world a couple of thousand years ago. Getting a visa is a story in itself. One for another day I think.
