Jackie Says Hi! My Steemit Introduction Post

Helloooo all you steemians! My name is Jackie, and on steemit I am @Jaks for short, How are you all? I must say the posts that most of you put up are absolutely awesome.
I'm new to steemit, so I have been looking at it for the past month or so, to get an idea of how it works. I still have a lot of learning to do and that's where you come in if you don't mind, any advice would be much appreciated :-)

About Me

Anyway, let me tell you a bit about what I do.
I have been a Music teacher for over 25 years mainly doing one to one teaching, but now I tend to do online courses, especially now as I live in a different country to my native UK.

I also compose and record my own music, which gives me great pleasure. I love cooking and very often create my own recipes, I try them out on my husband first before offering them to anybody else! ha ha ha (He is a good guinea pig.)

Why Steemit

I have joined Steemit mainly because the social part of it looks great, and I see we can socialize without bitching off one another, as is often the case in other social media platforms. Here it seems to be more about encouraging one another to do well, I hate trouble, and I would also hate to think that I have upset anybody, so if I say anything untoward please get in touch with me :-) So we can sort it out.

Interests

Now, I'm interested in walking and photography, I love swimming, and of course, as I said previously music and cooking.
I enjoy sitting outside in the evening with a glass of wine or two... maybe more haha.
I like to watch the moon come up, I will tell you a funny story about the moon when I am on Steemit properly, Look out for it on one of my posts;-)
Ha! I almost forgot I love cycling & cats too. You will see a lot of posts to do with cats. There will actually be a mixture of things as I live on a beautiful Island called Gozo that is a part of Malta. Gozo has a rich history including the oldest building in Europe at over 5000 years old!

Future

I love making friends with new people and hopingly in the not too distant future we can befriend each other, and maybe meet up on this beautiful Island (I hope so.)
