#Introduceyourself Kryptofinans, building the next generation media company everyone talks about

Hello fellow Steemians. 

My name is Paal, I am the founder of a new online newspaper with a mission to replace the advertising model. How we end up doing that is yet to be determined, we want to try out different kind of models until we find the one that works. Thus we have no comprehensive white paper or description of  a solution. Instead, we are building a lab where we can run our experiments.

Our goal is to use a wide range of blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies to find a model that is:

• attractive to our readers
• sustainable
• scalable

So far we have registered as a publisher on basicattentiontoken.org and receive tips from or users using brave. Works like a charm, but at the moment, it is very hard to scale it. 

We are also in the progress of setting up po.et which stamps all our articles on the bitcoin blockchain and gives us a copyright management system. In the future po.et will become a global marketplace for content. Imagine buying a picture on amazon that you want to post on your blog on the fly in a micro transaction. 

We are really looking forward to the release og Steem Smart Tokens, so that we can start experiments on monetizing content. We are also considering setting up our own token on the EOS mainnet when it goes live(after voting ends) to further experiment with tokenization.

The newspaper is called Kryptofinans, which translates to Cryptofinance in english. We are currently targeting the Norwegian market but internationalisation is on the roadmap. As you might have guessed already, we are focused on technology, primary topics is blockchain and cryptocurrencies, but we write about A.I, IoT and other cool tech as well. 

We will translate some of our articles and share them here on Steem with you in the future :) We will also write about any progress with our experiments in our quest to free the web from the advertising model :) 

We would love to hear any thoughts or ideas you might have that can aid us in our crusade against ads :) And maybe if your idea is just about crazy enough, who knows, maybe we run an experiment on it? :)

Oh and, in case you are wondering what is wrong with the advertising model, here are some reasons why we believe it does more harm than good to society:

Technology platforms with no regard for user privacy, make it easier than ever for bad actors to manipulate and deceieve us. When you give these tools to bad actors in the media, havoc will be and already has been released upon us:

- They can push lies directly to specific home adresses, races or religions

- They can exploit us when we are emotionally vulnerable (Facebook found depressed teens buy more makeup)

- They can now launch sybil attacks upon society, by creating millions of fake accounts and bots that impersonates real people, to create false impression of consensus.

- They manipulate us to spend as much time as possible on their platforms. In fact it is one of their key business goals.
