Versus Skateboarding

Originally established in 2017 as means of expression and artistic outlet by founder Riley Cottingham. Versus Skateboarding became more about the community as Riley immersed himself in his work and research realizing the struggles that face the skateboarding culture of today. In early 2018 Versus, still in it's infancy, changed its mission to one that better reflects the ideals and lifestyle that are needed to provide skateboarders a place of respect within society.

Versus Skateboarding is a non-profit skateboarding collaboration that works to build a stronger community between the fringes of skateboarding culture and society.

Versus Skateboarding embodies the passion, vision, and creation that are exemplified by the whole of skateboarding and have pushed skateboarding into the limelight for its 2020 Olympic debut.

We plan to give free weekly skateboarding classes to the public as we are able to make a positive impact on the local youth and our communities; instilling in them a fighting spirit that never gives up and keeps pushing towards accomplishing their goals!

We also hold a monthly content curation contest that will span across various platforms where we give away a free skateboard deck to those who show the most stoke and dedication to skateboarding by participating in our programs and by driving sales towards promoting the underground art of the world especially those who call themselves skateboarders.

Versus seeks to offer all skateboarders an opportunity to be a part of a team with local, regional, and national sponsorship representatives and brand ambassadors that will make up the "fringe society".

This nonprofit is meant to offer skateboarders a multitude of options to grow their skillsets in an open discussion environment focused on better societal interactions and a monetary reward systems possibly integrating the blockchain in some format.

There are plans to launch an affiliate and ambassador program for the various reps and ambassadors in July next month.

Designs are handcrafted from the bottom up using an expert creative process by artist rilo.
