Hi Steemians!

So thrilled to be part of this exciting community!

I am a Mama to two beautiful little darlings. My work is in educational leadership and I am a lover of all things creative:

  1. Photography
  2. Film & TV
  3. Music (both playing and appreciating)
  4. Art
  5. Books
  6. Theatre (Off to see The Book of Mormon soon!!! If you've seen it, did you enjoy it?)
  7. Food
  8. Craft (scrapbooking, anyone?)
  9. Travelling....oh, how I love travelling!!

So therefore, it entirely makes sense that my absolute DREAM is to visit NYC with the family and:

  1. Take lots of photos on Top of the Rock (during the day) and from the Empire State Building (at night) - Photography
  2. Go to all the places made famous by films and TV shows (Row a boat in Central Park, Jerry Seinfeld's Deli) - Film & TV
  3. Listen to some music (both the high-end and street musicians) - Music
  4. Visit the MET, Guggenheim, and the kids would love the Natural History Music - Art
  5. Read books in between (I'm about to get stuck into Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie) - Books
    6.. Watch a few shows on broadway and off (any recommendations?) - Theatre
  6. Katz's Deli (yes, all the touristy spots), OddFellows Icecream, Dominique Ansel Bakery... - Food
  7. Take all my memories and scrapbook them - Craft and 9. Travel (did I mention I want to go to NYC?)

If you're a New Yorker and you're reading this, I'd love to hear your local tips! Perhaps steemit and cryptocurrency will get me to the US quicker and faster...here's hoping!

And 10. If 1 - 9 above gives me a sense of identity, then 10. I am a child of The King. First and foremost. Always.

    Hello steemymama! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

    1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
    2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
    3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
    4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
