Crypto in Ireland - Issue 15

in #ireland6 years ago (edited)

This week we bring you some more news from Ireland as well as upcoming local events where you will be welcome to come and learn about Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies.

What is happening on the Irish Blockchain scene?

Weekly News

@eosdublin

This group of BP candidates for EOS have been hard at work over the long weekend participating in the launch of the EOS blockchain. I have been following their telegram group with updates all weekend. They also posted a video from their launch bunker on Steemit.

SVK Crypto

SVK Crypto have just partnered with Block One to launch a $50m fund to accelerate the growth and development of the EOSIO blockchain ecosystem. They are based in London but headed up by an Irish Man.

Blockchain the real deal?

The mainstream media do not often cover any news about Crypto with any measure of understanding but this piece by Steve Dempsey gives a fair assessment (in my opinion) of the state of Blockchain.

Blockchain Adoption in Ireland

This study by NUIG takes a look at factors influencing the adoption of Blockchain in Ireland. Notable is the need for education and for more executive blockchain workshops.

Andreas Antonopoulos

A few weeks ago Andreas visited Dublin. The Crypto Coast team interviewed him. Watch the full interview

Hey @eroche since you been following the EOS telegram group with all the updates in would be awesome if you made a post on your own thoughts, also regardless of these being in Dublin I feel these shared links still give a good idea on what the media is thinking about crypto, thanks for these.

its wunderfull thx for this. i follow you

Thanks for the post, I'm not in Ireland, but sure the workshops and meetings will be insightful. What exactly happens at these meetings? Are people equipped for trading Crypto Currencies or just networking? I'll pop in if I'm ever in Dublin again. Anyway if your interested in what the Bitcoin charts are saying come and visit us.

You get to hear about ICOs, learn about the technology and developments or just have a few drinks and chat about Crypto with friends.

The ones I like attending are mainly educational or with networking opportunities.

Give us a shout the next time you are in Dublin.
