The Graveyard at Derrynane Beach
Recently I visited one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to in Ireland. Derrynane lies on the Ring of Kerry, a route in the south west of Ireland that is very popular with tourists. The beach is huge and though usually when it's sunny in Ireland, every beach is absolutely packed, this beach was pleasantly empty. On the far end of the beach stands an old graveyard where apparently one of Charlie Chaplin's lovers is buried. As the picture shows, the burial site overlooks the beach from a height, allowing for a breathtaking panoramic scene across the turquoise water.
