Did you startle it or do they always approach people so closely? I'll admit that they are cute. (I still think that they'd be excellent horror movie monsters, despite being vegetarians.) ;) Though, I suppose that to the animals who are losing their resources thanks to them, they are monsters.

Generally, they're shy with humans, but this one was quite fearless. It was ready to flee into the water, but in the end let me approach slowly
