The Tale of Two Baptismal Sites. Baptism Site 2. QASER EL-YAHUD

This Second Baptism Site is probably the more correct location of the Baptism Site of Jesus in the River Jordan

It is about 80km further South from Yardenit on the Jordan River, a few kms before the River Jordan enters the Dead Sea.

On the Main Road (Rout 90) left(east) turnoff to Kasser-Al-Yahud- The Baptism Site. (Not far from the main turn right (west) to Jerusalem)

The river is very narrow here and very muddy. Pilgrims come from both the Jordan and Israel side with solders from each nation armed and almost nose to nose.

My husband "Baptized" our children in the River Jordan (without saying the Baptismal Prayer).

This is a very sacred place, the second place we have now visited where God spoke from Heaven introducing His beloved Son.
