We all have to judge others for that very reason

You are being judgemental. 

Right now. 

That's okay - we all are. We have to be. 

We all live by a set of standards, principles, and values that guide our actions. 

The thing is, each of us has a different set of standards, principles, and values. 

As we interact with different people we are constantly judging them on how closely they align with our own set of guidelines. 

If we are far apart on how we choose to live our lives, we may have to make a judgment call on whether or not we want to continue to have interaction with that person. If their standards are in direct conflict with our own, we may decide that we don't want that conflict in our lives. 

This is a healthy and acceptable method of protecting our personal boundaries. 

A word of caution though - just because they have a different set of rules that they live by and we don't want to allow that into our life does NOT give us the right to try to change them.
