Messi: Neymar joining Real Madrid would be 'terrible'

Together, Neymar and Lionel Messi were part of one of the most feared attacking units in football history together with suarez neymar leaving for PSG in the just past transfer window. rumour mongering has it that neymar is planning on switching alliegance to REal madrid who turns out to be arch rivals of Fc Barcelona and now, Lionel Messi shared his views on Neymar's possible transfer to Real Madrid.

The Argentine ace, who keeps in touch with PSG's superstar, came clean about what a move such as this one would mean for Barcelona's fans and team.

"It would be terrible because of all things Ney did for Barcelona. He may not have left in the best terms, but he won a UEFA Champions League title and La Liga here. If he ends up joining Real Madrid, it would be a massive blow not only for Barcelona fans, but for us as his former team-mates," Messi said.

"He would help them to become an even better team than they are right now," the South American footballer added.

Messi hinted that Neymar's arrival is indeed a possibility, even if he did not come right out and say it.

"I've shared my thoughts on the matter, he knows how I'd feel if he joins them," the Argentine ace added.

Neymar's agents and father have hinted that his time at PSG might come to an end soon. Only time will tell if Messi's words had an effect on Neymar's ultimate decision to keep playing with Les Parisiens or not.
