FoodTrip 101 - Korea's side street Sangyupsal day2
Hi everyone!
Today I'm back and will continue to share my food trip experience in korea Featuring Side Street Sangyupsal
Samgyupsal is another popular Korean meat dish that are enjoyed at home or at Korean resaturants that specializes in meat dishes. It consists of thick pork strips, served in the same fashion as galbi but there is no marinating involved
So what I love about eating sangyupsal we got tons off different side dish.
Different Varity of Kimchi - traditional cabbage, raddish kimchi, spring onion and etc which is a mix flavor of Spicy & sweet.
Usually once the meat is cook you can wrap it with lettuce top with kimchi, chili paste, sesame oil and pepper. Then wala pop them out in your mouth.
So I also grab the chance to pair sangyupsal with one of the mouthwatering ramen. It's healthy because there's not much preservative. It's made with kimchi sauce, slice vegies such as cucumber, beans onions side with some mushroom and tofu with a spicy and sweet taste a perfect pair for the sangyupsal.
Korean locals usually drink soju with sangyupsal as for me and my Bf. We do coke to keep up with the spicy flavor of kimchi.
So here' soju: (picture not mine since we did not order)
Soju
is a clear, colorless distilled beverage of Korean origin. It is usually consumed neat, and its alcohol content varies from about 16.8% to 53% alcohol by volume (ABV). is traditionally made from rice, wheat, or barley, modern producers often replace rice with other starches such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, or tapioca.
One benefit why I recommend sangyupsal coz it's quite a healty meal as lonh as you control the serving for the meat&fat. It gives you the best tasting vegetable to eat because of how the flavors embrace it and not only it's delicious but Refreshing.
Did I also mention it's fun to cook it? Yes it does.
So here are my other pictures of my sangyupsal food trip and usually they are just in the side streets with laid back set.up
Sharing these to you guys makes me hungry.
Enjoy! And by the way we can surely do this at home :)
