영어공부를 하면서 나름대로 확신을 얻은 공부법 3가지 (Three ways of studying English)

현재 다니는 직장에서 어학을 잘하면 해외근무를 2년간 할 수 있습니다.

미국에 가고 싶지만 미국은 경쟁이 치열하기 때문에 일본이나 싱가포르를 생각하고 있습니다.

경쟁률도 1:1 수준이고, 같은 아시아권이며 한국과도 가깝고 기억력대회도 열리는 곳이기 때문입니다 :)

아무튼 어떤 나라를 선택하든 영어는 필수입니다.

그래서 현재 영어를 공부중인데, 공부를 하면서 나름대로의 확신을 얻은 것들이 있어서 공유하려 합니다.

첫째, 소리를 실제로 내면서 읽어야 한다. 소리를 낼 수 없는 환경이라면 입모양만으로도 크게 내면서 마음 속으로라도 크게 소리내어 읽는 것이 좋다.

둘째, 단어 암기는 단어집을 이용해 외우는 것보다는 독해를 하면서 문장 속에서 외우는 것이 좋다. 반드시는 아니나 어원을 활용하는 것이 도움이 된다.

셋째, 어떤 글이든지 영어로 된 글을 많이 읽어라. 기계적으로 읽지 말고 흐름을 느끼면서 읽어라. 의문을 품으면서 문맥을 따라가며 읽으면 두 번 읽을 필요가 없다.

The competition is also at one-on-one, the same Asian region, close to Korea, and the memory competition is held

Anyway, English is essential for any country.

So I am currently studying English, and I am trying to share some things that I have gained confidence in while studying.

First, you should read it out loud, if you can’t make a sound, you should read it out loud, even in your mind, with your mouth as big as you can.

Second, it is better to memorize words in sentences while reading rather than memorize them using a wordbook, but it is helpful to use etymology to use difficult words.

Third, read a lot of English, no matter what you read, and read it with a feeling of flow, not mechanically; if you follow the context with questions, you don’t need to read it twice.
