Kraken trolls Coinbase
Two days ago, Coinbase announced that they were thinking about adding 5 new coins, today Kraken trolled them.
In a humorous turn, Kraken decided they too would also like to put out a list of coins they are considering adding to their platform.
In fact, they said they are thinking about adding ALL the coins on coinmarketcap.

"Exciting and important revelation for the community today. Kraken has been contemplating the exploration of maybe adding over 1600 new coins, pending the outcome of our highly sophisticated review process. For a glimpse of the possibilities check out coinmarketcap.com"

And then they listed a link to coinmarketcap.com:
It was very quickly apparent than Kraken was taking a shot at Coinbase who said they would be looking at possibly adding 5 new coins to their platform, pending further review of those coins.
Coinbase has legitimate reasons for why they unveiled the possible additions the way they did.
In Coinbase's defense, they said they decided to do it this way because they would be having to contact the coin's developers and they didn't want anyone to have any unfair or early information about new coins Coinbase was going to be adding.
Which, in my opinion, seems very logical.
If they were to contact a couple development teams about adding their coins, the prices of those coins would likely be bid up very quickly.
Coinbase came under fire after the addition of bitcoin cash.
Bitcoin cash ran up significantly in the days and hours before Coinbase decided to list the coin, strong circumstantial evidence that the news of the addition leaked to at least several people.

Kraken does things like this...
If you recall, Kraken put out a lengthy blog post to refute some of the negative speculation that was circulating regarding tether and specifically the use of tether on their own exchange.
They also mixed in a bit of humor in that blog post as well.
Either way, this was a fairly humorous and clever response by Kraken, an exchange who hasn't been shy about commenting publicly about industry related events.

Lol, Kraken gets it cracking. 😂 Can't blame Forkbase, even Charlie Lee is getting a bad rap for dumping after inside trading $LTC. They are trying to minimize insider trading but this is crypto, it's gonna happen regardless.
Yep, they are trying to make the trading environment more legit.

How about both. Steem seems to get added to exchanges rather late. Not really sure why... that is likely on the development team.

From my point of view I don't think it's a fair move from coinbase to tell the community that they "thinking about adding these coins". They knew before that it would give a pump to these currencies. I am sure they won't choose them all. Do you agree?
I actually think they will choose all 5. I thought it was the right move by Coinbase, even if it is kind of funny.
It's right to announce the next coins, but in that way? A bit strange :P

I think they likely have done some initial due diligence on these coins before they announced them.

I think most of the profit has already been made. Perhaps once the coins actually get added, buy them immediately then. For now, I think the play is just to wait.

I think both of the exchanges should list steem coin coz in 2019 steem will be in the lost of top 10 coins
