Landscape Photography - Ascot Hills Park, Los Angeles
In winter 2017, we got a lot of rain in Los Angeles and everything was incredibly green. Late that January, I decided to take a quick trip just south of downtown to Ascot Hills Park that offered a unique view of the city. Walking from my car on the path to the overlook of downtown, I snapped this photo on my new (at the time) iPhone 7 Plus. Sadly, this year we've had significantly less rain, so this beautiful green is no longer.

It may not be what you expected, but the rough texture of the ruts in the road, framed by the green of the grass is crazy good.
Even the sky is laid back and relaxed that day.

Thank you! The most surprising part is that if you walk to where the road bends, you have a perfect view of downtown Los Angeles from the south. This park is basically part of the city, but once you enter it feels like a total escape.
