Leadership is not for people who have the best educational background. It is quite unfortunate that we attach too much relevance to those with higher education. We sometimes feel the higher the level of education, the higher the level of reasoning or leadership qualities. Just as fame doesn’t confer relevance, age doesn’t confer maturity that is the same way that education doesn’t confer leadership traits. You need to imbibe it. It is more than a theory, it should be lived. Leadership has no class barrier.

I know a man who has a reservoir of knowledge but never have a thought.

As a leader, you need to develop self-confidence and as I said earlier, people are the same everywhere, and as a leader you need to be able to display self-confidence which should rub off on your followers.

For a leader, self-awareness is important. When you know who you are, you won’t sell yourself short or give people discount. Know who you are because who you are is greater than what you have, since what you have is as a result of who you are. Self-discovery is vital in human life. If you are an excellent person, it will show in your character and everywhere you touch or go. If you have an excellent spirit, it will reflect on your job and people will notice it on you everywhere. Looking good might be attractive and draw people to you, but your attitude and who you really are will sustain your relationship with people and your leadership trait. With the right attitude and being aware of who you are, you will keep people longer around you.

Leadership is not for people who are rich and powerful alone. We often make that mistake, thinking because we don’t have money or know people; we can’t take up leadership roles. You need to change your gaze and look around you for opportunities. You can always rise to that top level if you are only willing to start where you are.

A leader is not the person who sits at the upper end of a ladder or who drives the best or the most exotic cars in the organization or even around. Leadership is not a position; it is about having the right attitude or spirit. If you have the right spirit to lead and for the right reasons, people will naturally gravitate towards you.

Spend some time to develop yourself, not only in education but character-wise. Your charisma can get you to a place, get you to warm the hearts of people towards you but it is your attitude that will sustain whatever position you have found yourself. A leader is in you, fan it into flames and let it emerge. Don’t be a secondary character in your life’s story.

…THE END…

Like a used to say, education is messed up, we were being thought what seems to make sense for some decade back, majority of the most successful individuals in the world are not really educated. So, I will define an educated person as someone who never stop learning and wishing to know. Having all this knowledge in the world doesn't make someone a great leader but the wisdom attached to leading others to a greater level and abundance success. Wisdom is far more better than knowledge, and I can say for a leader to lead well he must not only learn through rational process but intuition should be his tools.

A leader must be able to lead himself before he can successfully lead others. He must invest in his mind. his self Image must be positive never looking down on himself, shun why he couldn't make it but rather what he must do in getting more done.

You have perfectly summarized the post and I enjoyed this as usual. Really good to see your comment after such a long time.

Yes, we attach too much importance to education; thinking the higher the educational qualifications, the higher the chances of having better leadership skills and it is wrong. Education can be an advantage to do it differently but being a leader is an attitude.
