Learn to Play the Guitar Part 9
Have a look at the “B” chord you recently learned. Look at it in relation to the “A” chord. Do you see any similarities?
In case you missed the connection. The “B” chord is just the “A” chord moved up two frets on the neck of the guitar. If you take the “B” chord position and move it up one fret, you are playing an alernate version of the “C” chord. If you move that “C” chord you just played two more frets, you are playing a “D” chord.
Practice moving the “B” chord up and down the neck.
Now, do the same thing with the “F” chord you just learned. Moving it up two frets gives you a “G” chord and two more gives you an “A”.
Practice moving the “F” position and “B” position up and down while alternating between the two chord positions. Get comfortable moving up and down the neck.
Congrats! You are playing what are called “Power Chords”.
