What Have I Learnt Last Week? | [Learn & Earn] Initiative - Week 19

So, here are some of the things I've learned over the last week:
| Monday | A group of people who believe the world is flat is organizing conventions, cruises, a planned television series, and future expeditions to Antarctica to prove their theories. 👽 |  Image Source: Twitter |
| Tuesday | The news about the ex-Portuguese Electric Company continue to show that Privatizing is not the way to go. Last year, consumers got screwed with higher prices, the investors got screwed because EDP lost 18 Million €... while the Board of Directors paid themselves 11 Million € in wages and bonuses. 😡 |  Image Source |
| Wednesday | Schools in the UK are removing analogue clocks from examination halls because teenagers are unable to tell the time. 😅 |  Image Source |
| Thursday | The majority of Portuguese MEPs in the European Parliament voted in support of the new Anti-Copyright Laws, which allow that corporations like Google and Facebook can freely spy on their customers and censor any information they want. It's not a surprise to me that ALL the guys voting in favour of this change belong to the Right Wing parties. 😶 |  Image Source |
| Friday | India has sent a missil to destroy of one of its own satellites... as a test. A country so full of poor, starving people and what do they do? Spend the money in war games. This world is ruled by lunatics. The only question is: why do we keep electing these warmongering lunatics!? 😠 |  Image Source |
| Saturday | If you own a dog and decide to visit Dumbarton, in Scotland ... please don't let your dog roam free. Specially when approaching the Overtoun Bridge from where over 300 dogs have jumped... and over 50 of them died. 😕 |  Image Source |

The flat earth stuff doesn't work when you study amateur radio - long-path propagation (where the signal travels around the world to your receiver) is a case-in-point. But I welcome their attempts to prove their theories... Either they're right and they can get some recognition or maybe they'll shut up.
oh dear on the clocks. They used to have analog clocks in their year 2 books, I remember this - but apparently, no one got to the back of the book. :-( I insist my children learn how to read analog clocks, even got my Japanese-studying son a clock with Japanese numerals one year.
funny - not - about the poor dogs. I wonder what's funny about the bridge to make the poor mutts attempt suicide.

Reading an analog clock is piece of cake. I wonder how those kids manage Division without a calculating machine! That should be fun to watch!

That televised expedition would be amazing - and hilarious, but that would require an independent third party to broadcast, I doubt these people will be quick to share.
Remember that the future of the world is in the hands of those kids! Scary!!!
Removing analog clock.. hehehe.. I wonder about flat earth theory. Out of my mind..For me whatever it is.. who cares.. 🤣🤣🤣

Well, it has been established that the Earth is round shaped a few centuries ago, long before Fake News were even invented. Why fight common knowledge now...?

The theory about the earth beeing flat! really, someone still think so?? They must be living in their own world...

I liked what you studied on Wednesday. My son is 6, and he could tell time looking at analog clock.

I can believe those UK kids. But I can imagine in this digital age.
The works isn’t leveled at all! Way too much spent on war and people are starving and struggling to survive! I hope blockchain can help solve that crap!
Those dogs must have thought something good was over there, poor doggies.
