Beyond Food Diet

When we hear about diet we might very often think of veggies, lots of fresh water and healthy juice. It's probably that we think with our belly and our mouth too often that we limit ourselves to just that but if we take in consideration that we are not flesh and bones only and that health and well being is much more than what we eat and drink then diet embodies a whole new meaning.

Part of our daily diet are the TV shows that we like as well although we don't literally "eat them". Part of our diet are the Facebook feeds, short clips and whole Youtube videos and Netflix as well. It's just that the process of eating is slightly different in such cases. We can call these a mental or spiritual meal. But not too often are we aware of such type of food.

Part of our diet is also what we read. Whether we point to simple news in a newspaper or tons of pics on social media. I know that we "don't read" pics but our subconscious mind doesn't know that and digests any piece of information we throw at. Not to forget that every lie repeatedly shared can become a truth and many of the truths we think we know might actually be lies thus it is highly important what we feed our brain with through reading as well.

Music is also a strong ingredient in our daily diet that can influence the way we think, feel, remember places and people, see life in general and why not, treat ourselves. I can't call any gender of music bad and another one good but not too often we are aware of music's influence. I've tested it on my own skin for many years and am reconsidering my playlists...

Last but not least lets not forget people. We are social human beings and it is said that we become alike the five persons that we spend the most time with. Without even knowing we can develop "skills" that we didn't had by hanging around with sort of people and we can even change life long concepts just by listening. Sometimes that works for us sometimes against us. But it always works although I have rejected this idea for many years considering that nobody can influence me. Some managed to do that though...

Bottom line, most of the illnesses and "heavy luggage" that we carry around can't be cleansed with all but plant based diets, sugar free fruit juices and exercise although they're a good "starting pill". We have come to such human progress that not only what we eat and drink can influence us and that there are many more factors, society ones, that we take for granted and we sallow undigested that can affect us in multiple ways and need to be taken out through diet. Some need to be added.

Great article!
I have the feeling that through all the scientific research people tend to focus only on those findings and forget that there is always more to a certain topic than all scientists in the world could research. Don't get me wrong, I love science (studied physics myself). But if one study says this or that could be a good way to achieve something, that doesn't mean there could also be another way.

Such a great post! I love the analogy you are making by using the concept of diet. Crazy thing is that I actually used the same analogy last week and I also remember speaking about the 5 person you surround yourself with rule with someone I know! Is that a sign that we vibe at the same frequency🔮!?!
