Many have argued that teaching couldn't be term professional profession like Medicine, engineering, lawyers and others top profession in the world that I couldn't mention. Teaching to me, is a professional profession even though many say otherwise perniciously in Nigeria, where I'm currently serving my country as a teacher, a Corp members. I don't think I will find other jobs appealing compared to teaching, though, there is no money in the profession which is one of the reasons why only few take up the job, some even go the extent of terming the job as hungry graduates that couldn't find suitable work occupy the position for the time being before he or she could find a better opportunity, so I'm beginining to wonder if teaching is just, let me do it for awhile. Then, what will happen to the students taught, I think such teacher will have to ability or be passionate enough to invest in the mind of the student with such attitudes.

Teaching has been one of the most underated profession in the world today, many claimed, anybody could be a teacher but I disagree with the assumption because it takes time, effort and energy all together for a teacher to understand a particular subject before he or she could explain it for the student to understand. I never forget this saying, ' you don't know a thing until you are able to teach someone to understand, so it means that before a teacher or who be teacher invest in a student mind he must be done so for himself through tireless reading. I will sum it up thus, since the world had refused to acknowledge the effort of the teacher by refusing them; regard they merit through salary and other stipends to make them happy in discharging their duties all time.

A nation that refuses to take into cognisance the importance of having a teachers and treating them well should know that the future of the nation lay in uncertainty.

As a teacher there is no more to gain, if the world refuses to do the right thing, then, the heavily rewards is certain for such teacher as our people used to say in my country. A teacher is considered a knowledgeable creature since they never stop learning and who never stop learning to me is the educated person, not just holding unto many degree and certificates alone.

There is benefit attributed to being a teacher. Yesterday, I was teaching my students, those that wanted to write entrance exam into university, how to answer a question on comprehension. The title of the passage was about ostrich, I personally never know much about ostrich till the very moment we read about it together. I knew from the passage that ostrich eggs are largest in the world and can weigh up to 1.5kilogram each which is also equivalent to 25 hens' egg, wow, I said. The shell of the egg is hard and glossy and has a glazed porcelain like finish which has a tendency of containing water for drinks.
We also learnt that the ostrich powerful muscular legs make it one of the fastest creatures on earth as it can attain speed up to 65 kilometers an hour! With all these features I was felt with the awe.

Learning never ends, teaching; a great profession.
