From 8000 to 16000 Feet! Trekking One Of the 10 Most Difficult Treks Of India <3(Part II)

in #life6 years ago (edited)

It was a very pleasant morning the next day after a good night's sleep. We were well rested and quickly packed our stuff after a light meal. Our backpacks were definitely very heavy but w didn't pay it much attention thanks to all the excitement :D

Within 5 minutes of our trek something unexpected happened. We had fed some biscuits to a dog the evening before who seemed to enjoy our company but the surprising pat was that he never left our side after that. He went ahead with us leaving the village behind. I called him haitchu to which he responded pretty well <3

We had to cover a total of 10 km and reach Didna Village before sundown and the first half of the day was prtty easy as it involved crossing some beautiful fields and plains. Once we completely descended the mountain this small stream appeared which served as a relaxation point and to refill our water supplies. We clicked some pictures there and then ascended the mountain ahead, one step at a time. Midway we also a had a small break for lunch but it got really difficult to climb after that given the harsh sunlight. At this point I felt that my backpack was weighing me down.

Nevertheless, we took our sweet time as the group was spread out by then because of varying speeds. The viw was absolutely gorgeous and I could feel the air getting cooler. I walked alone for a few kilometres by asking the way from the locals who were polite enough to guide each one of us. I got a chance to shoot a time lapse in between till I would find the village. As I kept walking I found my friends again and we set off to search for camp.

It was as if the clouds were waiting for us to get inside our tents and there it was. Thunder and Rain. We had already prepped ourselves for any changes in the weather and soon it stopped raining. We had some delicious tea made by our cook Mr. Bhupendra with some noodles. Thanks to whoever included noddles in the food stock :D

Even after such a long day, we were charged than ever and had an amazing time playing frisbee, thanks to @komal <3 I think it was a very nice bonding session between all of us :) Our friend here loved getting pampered and he definitely had everybody's attention! It was sundown after the 5th or 6th round of our game and the temperature dropped to around 4 degrees celsius. It was sheer pleasure to watch the clouds floating away slowly in moonlight. Mr. Bhupendra called out to us for a delicious dinner and the night couldn't have ended on a better note.

The best part, for me, was that almost all of us had lost networks on our phone and I can't even begin to tell how different it felt! Suddenly we became more observant of things around us rather than in a device! @rovingman used his oximeter to keep a check on everybody's health.

The results were normal for everyone and mine read something like this: SpO2 % : 94 and Pr Bpm : 113.

This was the total count at the end of the day according to the Mi Band and I have to say it felt pretty awesome to watch this <3
