My Godsons birthday

my godson's birthday was a few days ago. I have several godkids, but he is the oldest of them all.
Because I live in another country, I seldom see him. I wanted to surprise him because I'm in Romania due to work. Tonight I was visiting. He was so happy.
So that the surprise gets bigger, I told him that we go shopping and he can choose the gift himself.
He wanted Lego and we went shopping for Lego.
He should also buy two things. I also wanted to see how it developed. To my delight, he did not overdo it. He did not choose the most expensive and largest Lego boxes, just the two that were on offer. He also asked me what's on offer and chose what he likes.

vor ein paar Tage hatte mein Patensohn Geburtstag. Ich habe mehrere, aber der ist der älteste von allen.
Weil ich in einem anderen Land lebe, sehe ich ihn selten. Ich wollte ihm eine Überraschung machen weil ich im Rumänien wegen der Arbeit bin. Heute Abend war ich zum Besuch. Er war so was von froh.
Damit die Überraschung größer wird, habe ich ihm gesagt das wir einkaufen gehen und er kann sich selber das Geschenk aussuchen.
Er wollte Lego haben und wir sind Lego einkaufen gegangen.
Er dürfte auch zwei Sachen kaufen. Ich wollte auch sehen wie er sich entwickelt hat. Zum meiner Freude, er hat es nicht übertrieben. Er hat nicht die teuersten und größten Lego Kartons ausgewählt, sondern nur die zwei die auch im Angebot waren. Er hat mich auch gefragt was im Angebot ist und hat sich ausgewählt was er mag.
Habt ihr Patenkinder? Wenn ja, gibt es auch bei euch Geschenke?
