Home Sweet Home!

All anyone wants is a place to hang their hat and call home. Walking in and closing the front door creates such a sense of pleasure and relaxation. You can be yourself and do what you want. A home does not have to be overly big; a bedroom or two depending on if you are single or not, a kitchen and dining room and a bathroom. Sounds simple some don't you think?

It is a choice everyone can make, a big home or a little one, a house in the suburbs or the country, a settled life or a nomadic life. Difference makes life interesting.

However, there appears to be an overly big hike in the property market in cities in Australian, houses in the popular inner suburbs have become lavishly expensive. This means that young couples have to borrow loads more from the bank and go into debt paying off a mortgage for decades. We are looking at a lot of money, a million dollars or so for an everyday home. Why has this happened?

A few reasons points toward agents, real estate property developers and overseas investors wanting a piece of the Australian dream. I can't blame them, it is a wonderful country to live in.

Here is one such home in a popular inner suburb that has a big price tag, it is a beautiful family home that has an even higher happy love tag. All anyone wants is a home to call their own. It has always been the Australian dream.

Love and Blessings

Cheers

Howdy today angiemitchell! whoa! a million dollars for an average home? Who is buying so much there, wealthy foreigners coming in?

Hi janton, they are mainly Chinese buyers who do not live here. Us Australians do not understand why it is allowed. It is such a shame because the everyday young Australian couple struggle with paying so much.

Yes I hear the same thing about almost every nice country, the Chinese come in and start buying all the nice real estate and prices sky rocket. They really shouldn't let foreigner's come in and buy houses like that, some countries don't allow that and their markets are more reasonable and stable.

I can only agree and wish there were stronger guidelines put into place.

Maybe eventually they will because they have to see what it's doing to native buyers. Sounds like an issue that a politician could run on!

Can only hope janton.
