If you can't buy it twice, you can't afford it!

in #life6 years ago

Have you ever been in that situation where you want to a buy a particular commodity but you're not quite sure if your budget allows you to? We've all been there, haven't we? In such a situation, when you are in two minds, the question you need to ask yourself is:
"Can I buy it twice?"

If the answer is yes, then you can afford it. Buy it.

This question really is the key when it comes to buying things like mobile phones, televisions or laptops. Because these are the things that have a variety of products available. And generally, the costlier the product, the better it is and the more you feel like buying it. So when you see that by paying just a few bucks more than you'd normally do, you'd get a better product, you tend to pay that extra money and end up overpaying to the extent that it fucks up your budget.

At such times, you need to consider two things. One, do you really need it? And two, can you really afford it? In my opinion, the answer to the second question is more important because generally, the second question answers your first question as well. (You only need what you can afford lol). So, in order to answer the second question, always ask yourself if you can buy it twice.

If you have enough money to buy it twice, then you have enough money to call it affordable. That's how it works. That's how it should work. Anyone who keeps this advice and follows it seriously, will never have a financial problems in life. So next time you are buying a new phone , ask yourself, "Can I buy it twice?"

Some good advice for spending.

what would I do with two houses?

Hahahaha. Give it for rent maybe and earn some money. Plus, the value of a property is always going to increase with every passing day so you're always in a profiting deal anyway.
