📷 Dumpster Diving for Food

in #life5 years ago

A buddy, our dogs, and I, went #dumpsterdiving yesterday. Pictured is my share. The bananas were good (they still good) but I let them outside overnight and they froze and turned brown on the outside, but are still perfect on the inside.

There is an abundance of good food in the dumpster. You really don’t have to spend money on food.

My dog and I are full time in an old RV - since 2012. Striving for more freedom, more nature, more meaning, and less 'american nightmare'. Please follow along and enjoy the photos. Prints available on my website.

haha yeah. He is always interested in what goodies I got goin on

Bananas are the most sensitive to frost, it is better not to store them even in the refrigerator, and the norm in the refrigerator is + 5

Yeah, but frozen 'naners are tasty! ...they do get mushy after they thaw tho.. :/

Oh yes @bear8photo, an interesting photo and it looks like vegetables tolerate frost well, it’s a pity only bananas!

So much waste in the world. thankfully supermarkets are starting to take steps to prevent it now

Yeah, I wish more would be more responsible with what they choose to throw out.
