Principle of the Day

in #life5 years ago (edited)

Principle:  As a chain is no stronger than it's weakest link, so an organisation is no stronger than it's weakest link.

The Floribunda Rose, 'Bianca.'

The painting 'Roses' by the artist Vincent Van Gogh.

Prinicples are timeless truths, proverbs, concepts presented here for our pondering.

Thank you for dropping by.

Kind Regards,

bleujay

A kind note to all.....

Good manners and thoughtfulness of others will take you far.......as for those who leave notes and links directing members to their site.......please be advised this is not an acceptable practice.

bleujay does request that Steemians be so kind as to not leave gifs/photographs, etc. so as not to distract from the post.

Thank you Steemit for the opportunity to participate at this fine site.

The chain and the organisation when suffering from weak link syndrome can never be as solid or as sound as your well shared, principle my friend.

This is something that literally everybody instinctively understands yet is allowed to happen in every aspect of society...When my 2 girls were growing up and the subject of homework/revision would arise I would often offer them my best golden nugget of advice...

Always work first on your weakest subject or your weakest aspect of a subject...If you love long division but hate or struggle with venn diagrams...Save the long division till last and attack your nemesis first...This takes much of the dread ((or for some,)) fear, out of the equation.

At the organisational level, take stock and identify the weak spots often, constant refinements and/or repair keeps that which you cherish ship-shape and ready for action at a moments notice.

Hmmm...I know I said organisation, but in my head as I write I hear relationships, family, neighbours, health, our home, garden...

As a child growing up in the 70's Floribunda roses were everywhere, I worked in the garden with my Grandad, the scent was overpowering on the most wonderful way imaginable. Sadly most of the roses people prize nowadays are a little too perfect and have very little scent.

I wandered deep down a into a sweet emotional memory for a moment...

Loving the fresh, vibrant, aliveness that you convey, thankyou, I do enjoy your photography!

That Vincent did have a little something too, right? 😁

Take great care my friend, hope you are well 😃

What a lovely comment.......I shall write soon.....Thank you for dropping by with a chapter...always appreciated. ^__^

Edit.....

Greetings @stevenwood.

You are correct it applies elsewhere in life indeed.

Oh yes....by working those things we find labourious, difficult, tedious first, we certainly save ourselves a bit of angst....what a nifty approach to teach your girls.....especially when it comes to maths. ^__^

Thank you for your kind words concerning the post.....very happy to hear you have capacity for both the principle and it's accompaniment.

A garden full of floribundas must have been quite the experience. Additionally the Pemberton and David Austin Roses are favourites with their loose and whimsical style.

Appreciate you stopping by for a cuppa.

All the best

Cheers!

It's always good to see some true principles :) Thank you for this! And you made some nice photos ! :)

Greetings @tinabrezpike.

May I tell you how much I appreciate you dropping by.

Principles are such a joy....how can I not share them.....to know they have been here before us and they will be here after we are gone.....comforting is it not.

Truth bears repeating. ^__^

So happy to hear you have capacity for them.....please feel freee to scroll down the site....most times they are on the site without having to open the post.

Thank you for your kind words regarding the photographs.

Much tenderness toward you......my thoughts are with you.

Until next time we speak.....

Cheers!

Oh how we forget the we are only as strong as our weakest link! Thanks for a nice principle. And beautiful roses 😁

Greetings @senorcoconut.

Appreciate hearing you have capacity for the principle.

Thank you for your kind words regarding the post.

Cheers!

Thank you for this wise principle, everything has comparison with our life situation too, we see how it is in nature and we try to improve and adjust ourselves and of course the weakest link needs to be treated if we want to get success but also needs to be identified in first instance.

Thank you for posting the picture of that"Bianca" rose, I love roses in general but my hubby does not like such but prefers wild roses due to their fragrance and resistance to weather condition and re-planting. I love more decorative roses, to hold the flower in my hand and feel that gentle, velvet petals that is something unique, when I see a rose I must toucha nd feel them.

Beautiful painting of Van Gogh, I never stop loving his works. It is always a pleasure to visit your posts and be able to think about the wisdom of life. Cheers, @Stef1

Greetings dear @stef1.

How very lovely to have you stop by for a cuppa.

Thank you for your kind and expressive comment....appreciate hearing your thoughts as always.

The floribundas grow is such a loose manner, one may be surprised at how closely they resemble their cousins in the wild. ^__^

Oh yes....what is not to love about Van Gogh's work.....if you have opportunity to visit the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam.....do have a look. I will be surprised if it does not bring you to tears.....really. ^__^

All the best to you and yours.

Cheers!
