Road trip to The Pinnacles Desert - Cervantes, Western Australia
Today we took a road trip 250km north of Perth, to the Pinnacles Desert in Cervantes, Western Australia. It took us just over 2 hours to get there, but was well worth the trip.
We spend about 2 and a half hours walking through the tall limestone pillars, and driving around the park. We got some really nice photos even though it was fairly cloudy.
We even met this thorny devil on one of the pathways, basking in the warm sun.
After a few more stops for some photos of all the pillars, we had a picnic lunch, and then set off back to Perth. We caught it lucky this time, being in the middle of school holidays the traffic was nice and quiet.
Tommorow we may head into the city again to explore some more...
Cool pictures I would love to visit western Australia
It is a very remote place, but so worth visiting. The diversity of things to see from north to south is quite amazing.
Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold
That looks like a magical place. I plan to get over to WA at some stage. Probably will be a flying adventure though!
Yeah, probably a bit far to walk from the GC.
WALK!..... Everyone knows I ride a Scooter everywhere!
God dammit. I fucked that one up!
It is a pretty special place to visit. We took a special trip up there just to show my Dad. So, you have a flying scooter now?
It is like someone had "planted" the limestone pillars. I liked it!
It does look like that. We were talking about exactly the same thing. The first people to see it must have wondered who put these pillars there..
