Borran's Beer Review: Innis & Gunn Original
Hey everyone!
It's time for another beer review! Today, I'm reviewing a beer from the Innis & Gunn Brewing Company. It's called Original and it's a Scottish Export Ale. Original is their flagship beer, the one that started it all. Their unique bourbon barrel ageing process brings many interesting flavors to the beer!
Innis & Gunn brewing company is located in Edinburgh and was founded in 2003 by Master Brewer Dougal Gunn Sharp. Innis & Gunn's beers are really popular all around the world. It is the No.1 craft lager in Scotland, the No.1 imported craft beer in Canada and the No.3 in Sweden.
They have also won multiple awards: Scottish Brewery of the Year in the 2017 New York International Beer Awards, and Gold in the 2018 Scottish Beer Awards.

Appearance: clear copper color, small sized white head.
Smell: woody oak, whiskey, caramel, vanilla and toffee.
Mouthfeel: medium body, medium carbonation.
Taste: caramel, whiskey, wood, toasted malt, hints of vanilla and toffee.
If you like whiskey, this is surely a beer for you! Actually, I'm not a big fan of whiskey but somehow I liked the whiskey flavor in this beer. It fits very well! I would recommend drinking this beer during the winter, because it has a warming character. An advice, let the beer warm up a little bit before opening. More flavors will show up. I will give it a rating 3.5 out of 5.

I've always liked the bourbon barrel aged ales from Innis & Gunn. They're widely available in Alko stores.
Yeah, they make great beer! Bourbon barrel aged ale is not my favorite type of beer but occasionally I drink them!
