⛰️ Cliff Jumping With @papa-pepper!!! ⛰️

@papa-pepper and I jumped off some cliffs at Devil's Backbone in Arkansas. The trickiest things about these cliffs was the horizontal distance we had to jump to get to the water safely. Also someone died last year when part of the cliff collapsed. After @papa-pepper told me that I started getting a little worried about that because I ate Arby's twice on the trip there and felt like a complete chubster.

We never touched bottom on our jumps. I believe we each jumped three times.

@papa-pepper did a great video from the cliff jumping adventure. @little-peppers were there watching as well and got their new blow up whale that I brought from Arizona.

You will have to watch the video to see @papa-pepper's run in with a Northern Water Snake.

Did some research, it was two years ago and it was two people, each young males in their 19th year of life....

Love the post man! Super fun times!

Man that is terrible. I can't imagine walking out there and then the thing just breaks off.

Tragic! I've never understood the whole risk/reward ratio of activities like this. Sure it's a rush, but if it goes wrong you're dead or paralysed.

Glad you guys made it though!

Personally, I don't think there is that big of a risk. It's just fun for me. Calculated activity, and I like to keep the odds horribly in my favor.

This is because of a cognitive bias that most people display at one point or another. Whereby we believe dangerous activities to be less so for us. For instance smokers or people who have unprotected sex with lots of strangers will always believe that they are less at risk from the rest of the populace.

I like to keep the odds horribly in my favor.

Me too, I avoid such activities 😁

Fair play to you though, this kind of stuff always makes for entertaining watching! 👍

Good point! People often do see themselves as the exception to the rule! Glad it is interesting to watch!

I get the way you are thinking about it and we did feel fear making the jumps and it is the feeling you get after you complete the jumps that is hard to match anyway else.

Some might say that Investing in crypto currencies aren't worth it because it goes up like a rocket and down like a guillotine and that these things are too wild.

But we live for that feeling when it is going parabolic!!!!

Sometimes you have to be willing to do what others are not willing to do!

I should know this but for some reaosn I was thinking Missouri when I saw Ozarks on a previous post but I guess it's Arkansas.

This looks awesome, I love cliff jumping. Wish we had an area with cliff jumping closer to me, I'd have to drive up to Northern Michigan or even UP to find something.

I hear there's a good spot out by IU near bloomington although It think it's a quarry not a natural cliff, still probably cool though

I like Red Granite, WI for a nice legal plunge in Wisconsin, but there are some "illegal" ones near there that I may or may have not enjoyed.

Also, you asked a couple of great questions to me recently that have not gotten a reply back. I'm going to make a few videos for you soon.

Looks like a fun place to swim and jump. Brian had mentioned you were originally from Wisconsin, what area? I love WIsconsin, if you know of any other cool places to check out I'd love to hear about them. When I was younger we used to go up to Wisconsin quite a bit. I actually lived up in Minnesota for a number of years just outside Minneapolis.

As far as Wisconsin goes I'd love to checkout Northern Wisconsin on the way up to the UP that seems like a cool area. I've also recently heard of some glacier hiking path or something been meaning to check that out as well

I was born in Green Bay, but grew up right in the center of the state.

Why not do a cannon ball from there? 😂😂😂

I wanted to do a front flip but the issue was the horizontal distance we had to go made things risky and usually for front flips I generate the rotation with my arms while my feet are still planted. I kept thinking I was going to trip over my own kankles and face plant on the rocks. :-(

That would of been epic tho haha
