Symbolism - Double Rainbow Magic in Austin, Texas

As we were packing and prepping for an overnight drive to the middle of the country (Kansas City, Missouri), the storm clouds parted in the western most skies, allowing the sun to create a vibrant double rainbow... Our entire house full of people poured outside to wittnesses the glory (5 adults, 2 kids) and we gleefully snapped photos and celebrated the beautiful display brought to us by mother nature.

Once we hit the road, the rainbow lingered with me. I decided to search the internet for the symbolic meaning of double rainbows and see if it applied to my life.

Everything I read indicated the symbology of a double rainbow involves transformation and hope. This makes since because it requires gloomy or stormy weather for a rainbow to even appear. When we are experiencing gloom or storms in our every day lives, this is when we have the opportunity to witness the colorful display of magical transformation in our life experience. It gives us something to hope for, and a reminder that clouds do part and storms do pass.

To be more specific, in Feng Shui (a Japanese energy balancing method) rainbows are a sign that something wonderful is pending in your future. It seems to be an indication in. several traditions that your intuition is correct and to follow your path.

You don't have to believe in the symbology of rainbows to feel inspired by them. The truth is that I have experienced storm clouds in my life these past months. Big storms. Large clouds. And seeing this rainbow happened right before my personal storms transformed and hope was found. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not... but either way, the symbology held true for me in my life.
