In life, the wake-up call to face what life entails is never at our discretion. It mostly comes when we least expect it. Perhaps you're having a good time with family and friends and from nowhere, someone turns at your direction and says "Imagine you were a successful business person" or another says " I never thought you would be on headline news". In no time you start presuming these comments inside of you and all a sudden you compare those comments with where you are currently.

It has been proven that life mere follows your plan A, maybe it might follow plan B, C, D, E and so on etc. Marriage, kids, profession and grandkids might not come as planned, maybe it might come in sooner or later. Peradventure you were the breadwinner in your family and you felt it'll remain like that forever, but all a sudden someone takes over that position. Or contrariwise, you got yourself a job and planned on staying there for 10 months but ended up staying for 10 years. Life has many variables you can never tell how it'll end.

Interestingly, an average person is open to five careers in his/her lifespan. In the same manner, it\s perfectly okay to switch careers, even when we felt it's too late.

Navigating your way through a career change is part risky, calculative, part chance, and eventually part leap-of-faith.

For most professionals, there is no cut-off age for striking out in a new direction. People do it at all stages of their careers.

Apparently, you're never alone if you felt you overstayed your welcome at a large company to hang your own shingle. Equally, there are thousands of executives and people working for someone decipher each year that they'll love to get involved with larger organizations.
