Be Honest With Your Ignorance!

in #life5 years ago

All masters know how to be a beginner.

They know how to ask questions and they know how to admit when they're wrong/ignorant.

When you are honest about your own ignorance, you open yourself up to the possibilities of learning things that will bring you true knowledge that can better your life.

A great fallacy of people in our society is pretending that they know everything. I have done this many times in the past and continue to do it on occasion to this very day.

I think we will all do this at times. We will all pretend that we know things that we don't truly know.

It is the ability to be self-aware enough to catch on to when you're doing it that is important.

If you can admit your ignorance and catch yourself in the act of pretending to be knowledgable, then you can shut your mouth and learn.

Many many people have said that the quiet man is typically the wisest.

The loudest person in the room is often the one who is taking in the least amount of knowledge.

Of course, there will always be outliers -- those who are both wise and loud -- but I believe that keeping quiet at the right times is a sign of intelligence and curiosity.
