Relieving stress at workplace

Stress like we all know is bad for our health as it may lead to various complications such as anxiety, high blood pressure, lack of sleep, lack of concentration, restlessness etc. The pressure at work leads to stress, and researched statistics has shown that the stress at the workplace is at a high level and will continue to go higher. This has made researchers seek various ways by which workers can curb stress at their workplace.

One of the ways is by taking a walk or stretching out. Taking a walk or stretching out helps relieves the body and brain from stress. Although this may be a short relief, it is good for the body as explained by Gretchen Reynolds.

Those who moved more, especially if they accumulated an hour of physical activity over the course of the day, cut their mortality risk in half

Research has recently shown that the most effective way to curb stress at work is by learning something new. Researchers suggest that workers should take learning something new as a form of short break, as it is observed through research that workers who learn something new during their work break experience lesser stress. It is also advisable that what should be learned during the short break should be in line with the interest or whatever fascinates the individual.
