It is believed that this cabbage is among the plants, the use of which is both prevention and treatment of many cancers, for example: breast cancer, prostate cancer and skin cancer, due to the content of sulforaphane in it, which stops the development of cancer cells. The greatest amount of sulforaphane is found in the young broccoli, in its stems. In the head, the content of sulforaphane is 10 times less than in stems. It should be borne in mind that by subjecting broccoli to heat treatment, you reduce the amount of sulforaphane and beneficial properties in general.
