I took these two photos while walking Amstel around Lake Como this past week after a brief summer rain. The sun had just began to set and nature was on display in all of its glory.

With the iPhone you can focus on specific points in your picture and it will blur out the other areas of the frame to mimic a traditional SLR camera with 35mm film.

Mobile phone cameras are definitely catching up with their traditional counterparts.

Shot on iPhone 8 with no filters.

The stuffs you do with your iPhone 8 marvels me sir. The picture quality is so great and i really love these pictures.

Your love for nature is super cool. How little things give us much happiness and i am sure you soaked in all the beauty this flower gave.

Simple yet fulfilling sir.

Thank you @olawalium! I always turn to nature when I need a "reset".

Hahahaha i like that word: "Reset".

Beautiful pictures! Did you know that "Amstel" is also the name of the river that flows through Amsterdam? It is also the name of the most famous hotel in Amsterdam, the Amstel Hotel.
Here in Burgundy (and also in the Netherlands), we hope we shall also have a summer rain. But it is dry, very dry. Here in Burgundy (and also in the Netherlands), we hope that we will also have a summer rain. But it is dry, very dry. The trees look like autumn is coming.

Hey @clio! I just learned about the Amstel river before we came to Amsterdam in 2016 for the first SteemFest. We named our beagle after the beer though, which I think originally drew their water from that very river. : ) We noticed our first colorful tree yesterday. The maple leaves are always the first to change color here but this is very early for fall in Minnesota. It makes me fear what's coming this winter.

great shots and not a mimic, I know what you mean though..
I use my Galaxy 6 for unplanned and you know out and about shots. I love it.

Your phone camera probably has this too. I can click on the screen and find all the setting the camera phone used when taking the shot. They call it details.

Thanks! Isn't it amazing all of the features on the mobile phone cameras? I can't imagine carrying around a camera bag now.

Wow this is brilliant this is a mini DSLR then, I once gushed about your IPhone I never even knew it has this splendid quality to it, it's a beautiful one smartly taken, it's been a long time I've relished the beauty of nature with a camera wow splendid, how's the weather there?

Well being with the nature does indeed feels good from time to time !

While liked the images very much and seen the preview features of IPhone 8 it sure has some cool features indeed !

Nicely captured shot !

There is so much warmth in these photos, I love it!

I've noticed a similar feature with Samsung and I'm loving it, it's helped me capture some wonderful shots. Honestly, I'm glad phone cameras are getting so good. I've really gotten into photography and would love to get a DSLR, but don't really have the money atm, so it's really good that my phone camera is a decent substitute!

So glad you enjoyed these! I have an old school Nikon SLR from the late 1970's that I'm getting rid of but it takes 35mm film.
