Nothing Is Sacred Anymore
Today I went to the cemetery as the rain has stopped and the weather was fine. Too much rain made everything muddy and when it's muddy, you have to wait till it dries up.
Two month ago I planted some pansies as I always do. Pansies are resistant, that is my experience, so perfect for cemeteries. I bought ten flowers.
Today I went to clean the grave, pull out the weed and see what needs to be done. The weed was there as I expected, which is normal or at least I got used to it, but the flowers were not there. I found NONE! Not one flower. They were stolen, all of them, all ten!
It was shocking, to say the least. To steal from those who can't protect themselves is the most despicable thing one can do.
This has happened before, once a flower wreath was stolen, the other time a beautiful chrysanthemum and not this.
Tell me honestly, who would sink so low to steal flowers from a grave?
Next week I'm going to buy another set of flowers and plant them. Let's see how long would those last.
Yesterday I made a post about farmers market not being what it was because vendors are tricking buyers. Today I'm posting this sad story which unfortunately is true and has happened to me. What's next? I guess I'll stop posting about these things. Too bad the problems won't go away no matter what I do.

That is disheartening. Were just the flowers gone or the whole plant? You see pansies are edible. It is possible the squirrles had them for lunch. They do that sometimes. I like to think that was it and not someone taking flowers from a gravesite.

No, it wasn't an animal for sure. The whole flowers were gone, roots, everything. The holes were covered. The whole plants were taken out.
So bizarre. They stole the plants and took the time to cover up the holes. People are odd.
Yes, people are odd and nothing is sacred any more, unfortunately. This is the third time and the ugliest.

Heavenly days. They literally dug up plants from a cemetery? A lot of nerve, no brains or respect. Selfish people.

Things are not what they used to be. We just have to be a bit more cautious and we can still find the good people. :)
